Prepare For Me A Shallow Grave by Ainy Cormac

Blurb:

Prepare For Me A Shallow Grave is the first volume in the Curse of Ohlin, a dark fantasy trilogy with body horror elements. Set on the world of Sahul, the long dead remains of a fallen god, the story follows Gahlahan. As a boy in the sleepy village of Ohlin, Gahlahan became embroiled in the machinations of a forgotten goddess. Unwittingly exchanging his soul for good looks and long life, Gahlahan set out on a life of resentment and guilt. The destruction of his village and death of all he loved sent Gahlahan on a spiral of self-loathing, a journey that has lasted centuries.

Whatever people desire, they see upon his face. He has not been truly seen for centuries. He has abused this curse, but it too has abused him. His soul is not his own and the myths that surround him, though rife with embellishment,
are not without their truths. He has grown to be a self-loathing, resentful and arrogant man who has seen more friends die than he ever remembers making.

Now, at the end of his rope, he seeks a way to free himself and reclaim his humanity.

Will he be able to overcome himself and overthrow his masters?
